ESR Stomps Out Poverty: One Step at a Time

Winston-Salem

Experiment in Self-Reliance will be hosting their inaugural Stomp Out Poverty Event on July 18, 2015 from 8am-12pm in the parking lot of their new facility at 3480 Dominion Street.

Stomp Out Poverty is a community fair that hopes to bring the Winston Salem community together and raise awareness about poverty in Forsyth County. The event also aims to give insight on various community resources. These resources include The Point, a mobile unit that travels to various locations in the county to provide financial literacy awareness and information on community resources. Winston Salem State University will be providing free health screenings. Several community vendors will be in attendance to display their crafts, and promote their products and services. The event will also host ESR’s annual community yard sale. We expect to have food trucks, step teams and dance groups on hand. Our very special guest is Chris Lea, who is a traffic anchor at WXII and a former on-air personality for 102 Jamz.
