empowering strength and resilience

Round Up Your Change!

Round up your change to empower community change! ESR is excited to partner with Panera Bread to provide residents in our community with the resources they need to become self-reliant. Visit one of the Winston-Salem or Clemmons Panera Bread locations July 1 through September 30, 2018, and say “yes”  to benefit ESR!

Round up your change for ESR at Panera Bread from July through August

HOW IT WORKS:

Visit Panera Bread restaurants in Winston-Salem and Clemmons between July 1, 2018 and September 30, 2018. When you pay for your order say “Yes!” when the cashier asks if you’d like to round up your change.  (Be sure to ask the cashier to do so if they don’t ask you). You’ll pay an even dollar amount for your order, and ESR will receive the difference.

WHAT YOUR CHANGE DOES:

That random bit of coin that would get lost between your car’s seats will help improve the lives of low-income residents of Forsyth County. Donations to ESR help pay for our Housing program. Housing Services works with homeless clients to help the find homes and become stable in them. Your change supports our Self-Sufficiency program. The Self-Sufficiency program helps low-income residents improve their financial literacy and/or increase their education levels to help them rise above poverty. It also supports our IDA program, where low income residents can become first time home-buyers. And your change helps support our Forsyth Free Tax Program, that provides free tax preparation for low-to-moderate income taxpayers in our community. Our newest project works with families of children in low-wealth neighborhoods to encourage parental engagement with their schools, and your donation can help provide those services too.

ESR has served the low income community in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County for over 50 years. We provide quality services to people who are willing to commit to themselves and their potential to rise above poverty. We meet people where they are and guide them to reach their individual highest possible level of social and financial self-reliance.

So please take the time to enjoy a great meal at Panera Bread locations in Winston-Salem and Clemmons from July through September, and round up your change to help empower community change.
