Did you miss filing your taxes during the regular tax season this year? Or maybe you need to file a return for last year or a couple of years ago? It’s not too late! You can still take advantage of Forsyth Free Tax program at ESR.

We generally can’t do special returns, such as amendments or prior year returns, during the regular tax season. These returns usually need to be handled by the tax program’s manager or assistant, which is not possible with the volume of tax returns we file during the regular season. The staff who are able to handle special returns are kept running keeping our VITA sites running smoothly, making sure the 3,000+ returns are filed correctly, and resolving any issues that arise.

After the regular season is wrapped up and our reports are filed (usually sometime around May 1), our tax department can do returns by appointment. We can only offer this until October 1, however, because that’s when we start gearing up for the next filing season.
