ESR Adjusts Hours for “Stay-At-Home Order”

Winston-Salem – Experiment in Self-Reliance (ESR) will be open during the Winston-Salem stay-at-home order with adjusted hours.

Deemed an “essential business” under the City of Winston-Salem’s amended declaration of a State of Emergency “Stay-At-Home Order,” ESR will continue to provide human service operations aligned with their mission to “empower social and economic self-reliance for the working low-income and homeless” to residents in Forsyth County who meet the income requirements for services.

ESR’s new hours, effective 8 am on Monday, March 30, will be from 8 am – 4 pm. Case management will continue to be an integral part of ESR’s services, helping clients build skills to develop self-reliance in today’s environment. Case managers are encouraged to meet with clients via phone and limit in-person meetings. Tax sites will remain closed until further notice.
